I've come to believe that there is a catalyst involved with a ouija board. There are probably millions of them out there, being played with, maybe even right at this second somewhere, and nothing bad is happening. Why? Well, I'm not sure but I think there has to be more than just a ouija board. Like for instance a person who is open, or a nearby portal, a person suffering from mental illness, a person going through a traumatic time, etc, I think can be just a few of the catalysts. Then they go and play with the board and BOOM something nasty happens.
I hate to admit but a very long time ago I played with a ouija board. You see, I was desperate to find out what was going on with me. I didn't want to admit to anyone what was going on, but when my friend showed me the board, and told me what it did, I had a small hope that maybe it could tell me what it was that attacked me in the night, though I was mostly skeptical of it all. It started out slow, but by the time we were done, there were two extremely frightened teenage girls that night, put it that way. Toward the end when we finally could get ourselves released, we weren't asking questions anymore, it was spelling statements and telling us how it would kill us. Whipping our hands powerfully over the letters, and we couldn't seem to break free! Extremely powerful! Extremely scary! I can't tell you what it was like for me, and then later, for a while, the nightly attacks seemed even more powerful, for it had gained even more power over me through the actions of the ouija board that night. Very foolish, but I was young, desperate, and already caught up in forces I had no idea about.
After all the experiences I've had over my life I'm surprised I'm not in permanent counseling myself. Then thinking on it, it's surprising that after all of it, that I'm in this field. But I feel as if my experiences are important, that somehow I can help others. My story is truly unbelievable, except maybe to me, who lived it. But I can say this, the field of the paranormal is not for everyone. It does carry great risks, it can be scary as hell and every time we go out on a case we take the chance of meeting up with something little known and little understood, the negative entity. Luckily for us, most cases are just human hauntings, but I do think that anyone who wants to enter this field as a serious investigator should search their soul and think seriously if the risks are worth the gains. Maybe even sit down and make a pros and cons list. It took me years and a ton of repeat activity before I finally decided something was trying to tell me I belonged in the field. I have also decided that being here may find a real time solution to my little entity problem. But the biggest part of it, was when I realized how many victims are still out there, silently suffering with nowhere to turn, and that the real threat of ostracism could turn many away from getting help. But still I never made this decision lightly and I don't think anyone else should.
Looking at what happened to your friend is a definite example of what can happen. I wonder though, does this counselor he has even believe in the paranormal? And if not, how does trying to convince this person that nothing ever happened really solve the real problem that is still going on out there to this very day?

[glow=red,2,300]I have a healthy respect for the paranormal as it has the power to hurt us if it not approached carefully.I've always wanted to walk through the cemetary at night and see what I would see. The town I live in, Grimsby was founded in 1759 and part of the war of 1812 was fought close by. [/glow]

That's a good thing. I think some of the best investigators out there do have respect for it. It is one thing to investigate and another to ask for trouble though. Then again, there are some who think investigating is asking for trouble period. The way I look at it is I have activity whether or not I'm in the field, I figure I may as well put it to good use. Very occasionally I do EVP work in my home, and yes, I've got a collection of them. I'm hoping that when I finally release my book Eagles Soar Forever, sometime soon that I can share them with you.
If I didn't have such a problem with putfile I wouldn't mind sharing some audio with all of you, and I have some great stuff that I got with Spooky Southcoast and Shadowland Investigators at Lizzie Borden's house that I've been told I can release. If you guys don't mind the new site I've been using I'll see if I can't get a few of them up here for you, I'm sure the guys would love to hear them, too! The only thing with this new site is you have to download the files, so if no one minds downloading the files, let me know and I'll throw a few up here for your listening pleasure.

[glow=red,2,300]I'd love to hear some of your EVP's. I find them very interesting as it shows proof of life after death. I know some people that live in the building I live in don't believe in life after death. I've told them that after you die you go to the spirit world, but they said that once you're dead you're dead.
I told them that if thats what you believe then you might as well curl up in a ball and wait to die. I live everyday to the fullest because you never know if it's gonna be you're last day. The other thing I do everyday when I go out is tell my wife I love her and hug her. Some friends of mine think that I'm morbid but I tell them that I have made peace that I am gonna die someday, not that I'm gonna do something stupid to bring it on quicker.[/glow]

Hi aneaglesangel, it's been a week since I emailed Tim about the bumper sticker. Should I try emailing spookycrew@spookysouthcoast.com as well?

OK, I'll see what I can do about getting some up here for you!
Try emailing the spooky crew, and if you don't hear from them in a couple days, let me know and I'll PM my email address to you so that you can send my your address so I can send you a bumper sticker. I'm not sure if I do have anymore left, my son has them on everything he owns, you see, so I may have to go bother the guys one of these Saturday nights and beg for one for you, hehe! I'm local so I can go crash the studio at any given time, muwahahahahaha! As a matter of fact, I've done it once or twice!

[glow=red,2,300]I'd love to see the Lizzie Borden house and investigate with you guys. There is quite a few haunted houses in the Niagara Region of Ontario. Part of the war of 1812 was fought at 40 mile creek, not far from where I live as well as Niagara Falls where the main street "Lundy's Lane".
Grimsby was founded in 1759, I bet some of the graves in the cemetary here in Grimsby are very early 1800's. How old is the New England area where you live? One of these days I have to get up the courage and call the show while it is live to ask a question and say hi.[/glow]

Oh yes, you do have to call in!! The first time I called in I was really nervous about it, ya know all that being heard on the radio stuff and all, but the guys are really great and they make you feel comfortable. It's just like talking on the phone!
This area is pretty old. There are still some houses standing that date back to the 1600's though they are rare. There's still a few 1700's houses kicking around and plenty of 1800's houses kicking around. Recently I found out that there is a group dedicated to saving the Orpheum Theatre. I'd like to grab some pictures of this building for you! It's awesome, and I can remember ever since I was a kid, it just sat there, closed and decrepit and such a shame. I guess it's one of only 2 original Orpheums left, so it's really worth saving. During the King Phillip's War, there were something like 39 houses in the area known as Dartmouth now, the Wampanoags burned them all down, so as you can see, some of the houses that were originally here met a sad and tragic end. When I have a chance and the weather warms up a bit, I'd like to go out stomping in the woods, the original foundations of those burned out houses are still out there. Sort of spooky to see them still sitting there, a last monument to what happened.
Boy I can't wait for the weather to get better! Time to go off picture hunting once again!!

[glow=red,2,300]I heard on last weeks show that it will be only streaming on the net, can I still call in and talk to the guys? Is it hard to call in what with everyone listening or will I get through right away? I do have a reloadable calling card that I use for long distance calls, so at least I don't have to worry about running a bill.
If I asked the guys on the phone, would they give me a bumper sticker? Who is this week's guest thats gonna be on the show? I saw a shadow that moved last night as I was going out of the bathroom. I am almost always up all night because of my arthritis pain. At the time of me writing this message I haven't slept yet, oh the joys of osteoarthritis.
I am damn lucky to have met my wife as she understands fully what I am going through. You see with my arthritis it is hard for me to find a job that I can do that will be easy as I cannot lift anything over 10 lbs. In 2 months it will be 3 years that I married my wife. I am same body shape as Tim, I even have sleep apnea as well.
I am thinking of a good question to ask when I call in the show. What time do they open the phone lines for calls?[/glow]

I'm sure if you call in to the show you can get a bumper sticker. I'm not sure how the live stream works, I think they have to do live stream only because of the basketball games coming up. I do know this, once you get on the phone with the guys, you will feel right at home and it will all come naturally, they are very easy to talk to!
I hear you about the pain, and little sleep. I have something called klippelfiel syndrome, and basically what that is, is fusion in the cervical spine that I was born with. It has only become a problem now that I'm older, and after a bad car accident I had a few years ago. I always had pain and headaches but no one could figure out why, now we know why, LOL. The funny thing is, now that I know more about it, I'm wondering if there's a connection in some way with the paranormal. Does pain affect our bodies in a way that makes us more attractive to spirits? Do certain illnesses, such as mental illness, fibromyalga, seizure disorders, etc, do the same thing? Does pain, or even seizures cause our physiology to change in some way? And in that way, does the change invite paranormal activity? I don't know, but I've pursued it a bit, even to the point of finding a neurologist who believes in the paranormal, had his own experiences, and listened intently to my past, saw and heard my evidence and found it all intriguing. I've had every test in the book, yet I can't find one iota of a reason for the paranormal activity in my life. Somehow, I think there is something to this theory, I just can't quite put my finger on it, and I can't seem to find it in any of these tests. But I do know one thing, I'm in pain most of the time, and I'm also sleep deprived most of the time. Yet, I experience some pretty intense paranormal activity. Out in the field, ghosts seem very willing to speak with me, and even call my by name more often that I can count. What makes me so attractive to them?? I wish I knew!!
Maybe someday I'll find the key......so far no such luck yet, but something tells me I'm close!
I hope that you get to feeling better, I know how you feel, believe me. Pain is the biggest reason I'd like to be able to finish my book and keep writing. Even when my back hurts really bad, I can make myself type, even if I can't do anything else. But hang in there. I know new medications and treatments are coming for arthritis sufferers. Me, well, my disorder is so rare, I hope someday that I can tell a doctor what I have and they don't stare at me with a blank look in their eyes, and then I have to explain to them what it is, LOL!

[glow=red,2,300]When I call in I should turn the sound down on my computer? Do you know who the guest will be tomorrow night? I have 1015 podcasts on my ipod and 7184 songs on my ipod. I have been listening to Spooky Southcoast since 2007 when I bought my ipod as a Christmas present for myself.[/glow]

Yes turn down the sound or you'll make an awful echo, just like I did the first time I called in, LOL! I'm not sure who the guest is today, or if the show will be at regular time. I'll keep my eyes and ears open and if I hear I'll come and let you know!
Wow!! That's a lot of Spooky!!
A Christmas present to yourself??? I thought Santa was supposed to do that for us if we weren't too naughty. What, were you naughty that year???

[glow=red,2,300]I have a hard time finding work because of my arthritis, so that year I managed to find work at Future Shop. the Canadian version of Best Buy. So for working hard for the month of December, I bought the ipod as a present to myself.
My back is so bad I can't even lift 10 lbs.[/glow]

Have you ever tried Shiatsu massage? I can't have it all the time, only when it's free, and it's painful as hell to have done, but man, it lasts like a month, pain-free!!!! Now if only I could have that done once a month, I'd be golden! (I've only been lucky enough to have it once, but in my case, I can't even see a chiropractor, so to have this work, was most awesome!! Maybe worth a try for you?)

Dalejrfan, We appreciate you being such a loyal listener...as soon as we get some more bumper stickers (or find the rest of the last stash) we'll ship you off one. I had sent you an email but I guess it didn't go through. I'd been having some email issues on my phone the last couple of weeks (tried to upgrade my OS, stupid me).
