Excellent! As you can see from some of my stories, I loove haunted lighthouses, well, I guess just beautiful lighthouses are good too, but definitely better with a ghost or two in them, LOL! What's the history on this one if ya don't mind my asking? I have read quite a few stories about lighthouses in Massachusetts and find many times there are really interesting stories behind the buildings! I'm still working on the lighthouse series of stories, but I always love to hear new ones!

www.ptlookoutlighthouse.comThat site has a lot of info on the history and hauntings. The show "Sightings" that was on Fox about 10 years ago did a segment on the lighthouse. The state park that it resides on is also haunted. It was the site of a POW camp during the Civil War and people have seen Confederate soliers run out in front of the vehicles and hiding in the trees. The lighthouse itself had several deaths in it in addition to the obviou shipwrecks that made a need for the lighthouse to begin with. As soon as you walk into the lighthouse, you hear "whispering" sounds, day or night. We've caught EVPs, pictures, personal experiences (I was in the attic one time with another member and we heard footsteps in the cupola above us although there was no one up there, for example). Dogs that have belonged to lightkeepers have been known to jump out of the 2nd story windows to get away from "something". Its located at the convergence of the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River, so you can see both Maryland and Virginia from the property. My paranormal group works closely with the the preservation society. In fact, out founder is the Director of Paranormal Research for the lighthouse. Although we have the freedom to investigate it whenever we want, we host 8 paranormal nights a year where groups make a $300 donation to the preservation of the lighthouse and can come in and investigate from 10 pm-2 am. Our group acts has "hosts" for the event and are onhand for security, to answer questions, etc. All but one date has been booked for 2007 already! We've also invited WheezyRon Trips to do one of their smaller trips down there. Check out that website, it has a ton of info on history and hauntings, pictures, stories, etc.
