Dr. Samuel Mudd was the doctor who set the leg of John Wilkes Booth after he assassinated President Lincoln. My group did an investigation there in December. The property is still owned by the Mudd family and they still own 196 of the original 216 acres. Many people calim to see Mrs. Mudd pretty regularly in the house. There is also a 3-room outbuilding that an African-American man had lived in the early part of the 20th century that remains. This EVP I caught literally as soon as I turned my recorder on. This is the original file, no clean up was necessary. Click here to listen*The area of Waldorf wher the house sits is called Beantown*

These pictures were taken in the room Booth was treated. I showed this to Matt while we were at ESP. The first one was taken just seconds before the second one. This is no one in our group. There were 2 people in here at the time the photo was taken. Our founder, Kim (she took the picture), and team member Kristy (she's a red head). Also, no one had any clothing on that resembled this nor did they have their sleeves rolled. The figure is looking down onto the bed Booth laid on.

This one, however, is my favorite picturethat was caught that night. Again, Kim, our founder, caught this when it was just her & Kristy in the room. The first picture, you see the back of Kristy reflected. The second picture, taken 7 seconds later, you can see the face of Dr. Mudd in her hair. The last picture is a file picture of Dr. Mudd. There are NO pictures/portraits of Dr. Mudd anywhere in this room. This one was discovered while I was at ESP, so I didn't get a chance to show it to Matt. We now tease Kristy that she had Mudd in her hair ;D

I can understand the EVP (3rd one) when you were breaking down - that one is a Class A, the other two just sound like clicks. Might be something, but can not make out what is being said. A suggestion - when you label your EVPs, do not put on the label what you think it says. If you do that, the power of suggestion will take over and the EVP is then tainted.
The pictures are very interesting. Thanks for sharing them.

I wonder if Putfile was having a problem with the files. The first one, as soon as you hit play it starts. Since it began as soon as I turned on the recorder, there is no silence or intro air, it just goes right into the "sing-songy" voice.

This one, also from the other building, is a sigh like the spirit was bored with us discussing the fact they didn't have indoor plumbing & didn't bathe like we do today. Click here to listenAnd some more "breathing" Click here to listen

This is really faint, I do have a cleaned up version I can post, too. See if you can figure it out from this, its actually pretty funny. Our group member, Keri, kept poking around while the rest of us were sitting down & apparently he wasn't too happy with her lol Click here to listenThis was also caught during that same time frame Click here to listenApparently he didn't like Keri!!

Wow, that last pic of the mirror sure does look like the man in question doesn't it! Darn, was so busy all night, now that my son's asleep, I'd better not listen to evp's, darn, now I have to wait until tomorrow! I'll let ya know if I can hear them better once I get a chance to hear them without waking up, or causing nightmares for my son, LOL!! Thanks for sharing, though, I love hearing new evp's!! Especially when they're far away, and I know I may not get a chance to visit that place. In a way, by seeing and hearing evidence from those places, it's almost as if I got to be there, well, ok, almost!!

Wow, a couple of those are pretty awesome! But why is it some of them I have a hard time hearing at all? Is it the editing, or my computer?? What do you use to clean them with, I'm very curious, for it sounds waaay different from when I clean mine? With audacity, once I clean it, any noise I had sounds like beeps. Thanks for sharing, I still love that last pic, LOL!

I use Audacity and I use a pair of Bose headphones, so sometimes I'm able to hear things better because of the quality of the headphones.

Hmm, I use audacity, too, wonder why my edits sound so different?? Here, hope you don't mind me posting some so you can see what I mean. I like to get more opinions on how to use the software, the more I learn, the better my evidence will be in the end, that's how I look at it. I'm sort of new to audio, been doing it only about 8 months, and only recently got brave enough to try editing them, let me know what ya think, if ya don't mind? media.putfile.com/anawan13media.putfile.com/anawan13clean
