Sounds like an awesome show!! I can't wait to hear it!! Does Mr. Attisani think it is possible to travel astrally while asleep?? Does he think a spirit can communicate to you more easily while you're asleep? Like show you pictures from their life or events that they saw??

I have been a vivid dreamer for my entire life. Generally, I enjoy them very much and have even written fiction stories based on them.
BUT, when they go bad, I can also be injured and feel pain - the most dreadful of which is me being attacked and cut either by razor or by knife.
When this occurs, I generally am aware that I am dreaming, but at the same time, I am powerless to stop it or to not feel the pain.
What can I do to stop or change this "nightmare" when it occurs?

Hey Spookerstars, it's Tim here. I think the Red Sox inevitable extra-innings collapse is going to force us to cut short this week's show. We'll have to re-schedule Dominick for a later date, which will be better, because it will give us more time for everyone to submit their questions. However, we're going to try to stay awake long enough to go on the air for about a half-hour as soon as the game is over, with Kristyn Gartland from TAPS joining us for a bit.
We thank you all for your patience...

Oooh man, I was listening to the game waiting for you guys to come on, then fell asleep. I woke up again, but you guys still weren't on!! I figured the game was running too long for you guys to come on, darn it! Who won the game anyway??

Hey mmecurie68, I had a reoccurring nightmare that plagued me from childhood until I was about 25 years old. I knew it was a dream, and I knew what was going to happen in it. It never changed, not even the littlest bit, and I could do nothing to stop it.
In short, I was being chased by a giant. And no matter what my physical age was, I was always a child in the dream. I would run down roads, over bridges, and through busy city streets to get away from the giant. But he would always catch me, and pick me up way above the tree tops. He would look at me and laugh and start to squeeze me and I would wake up scared.
The nightmare finally stopped when I was 25, because I went in for some counseling, and found that this nightmare was related to my father. He was an abusive alcoholic; he was the giant, and I was trying to get away from him. As soon as I realized this, faced it, dealt with it, and let it go from my life, the nightmares stopped.
Over the years I have noticed that a lot of my nightmares have something to do with something going on in my life that I need to address. Maybe not always, but most of the time.
Might be something to consider with your dream. Hope that helps. >^o.o^<

Yeah, good ideas lildeb, lots of things we dream have to do with our lives. Alot of times we work things out from our daily life, while we're asleep. I can't really say much about a recurring nightmare. One time it happened, was leading up to the accident with Leo. I knew the dream was important, I really don't have dreams that recur. Another one, was related to the negative energy feeder, it made me dream something twice in one night, but that's only because it wanted me to be afraid! I can hardly wait until you guys can have Dominick on, this will be a very interesting show!! There's so much to dreams, and what they mean! Until he can return for the show, this might help to interpret the dream you're having, mmecurie. It's a site that does interpretations of what certain things mean. If you can't find anything there, you might want to try a couple other sites I know of. Just give me a PM and I'll send them to ya! Here's the dream site, though: www.dreammoods.com. Hope that helps a bit!!

Dream interpretations are such a hard thing.
There are so many different sites and books, and they usually have different meanings for a lot of the same things. So, it is hard to rely on just one source for the interpretations. Hard, also, to decide what interpretation is right for a particular dream. Every little detail in a dream can mean something, and if you miss something in the dream, you might get the wrong interpretation.
Enough to make your head spin. >^o.o^<

That's for sure!! I think sometimes, we really do know what a dream means, but it's almost like it takes an outsider to make us see it. I once had a strange dream about horses, it was like first it was a black horse, then it was a white horse, then as I came over a hill to find them, it was a woman. Those aren't all the details, but I don't want to run into a long explantion. I figured it had something to do with the horses I worked with. At the time, I worked with a lot of animals who had been horribly abused, so it seemed to fit. One of my friends is totally into dream interpretation and she said that the dream symbolized my coming of age. I was totally flbbergasted!! I had no clue that it meant that, but once she explained, it all made perfect sense. The stage I was at in my life, I was growing up to be a woman, so as you can see, her interpretation wasn't too bad!!
I agree though lildeb, it's one heck of a challenge to interpret the slippery images of a dream!! Sometimes it does take someone else to see things for what they are! Almost like you can't see past your own nose sometimes, because you're right there in it! Ya can't see the forest for the trees if that makes any sense??

Personally, I do not worry about dreams all that much, be they good or bad. However, if they happen over and over, then I figure something is trying to register in that melon on top of my shoulders, and I should probably do something about it.
Sometimes I do try to figure them out, but for the most part, they play themselves out in the end without me doing anything or waisting the time and energy to figure them out.
Besides, a dream is like a prediction as far as I can see. The dream, as in a prediction, is based on your current path. If you veer off of that path, even a little, the outcome of the dream or prediction will change.
Unlike the nightmare I spoke about a few postings back. That multi-decade reoccurring nightmare was not just a bad dream, it was something deep seated in my brain that needed to be dealt with. Totally different.

Yeah, I hear ya, I don't usually pay much attention to my dreams. Well, except for the deja vu dreams, and ghostly invasions of my sleep. I can tell the difference between those dreams most of the time, so I pay a bit more attention to them. Seems it has paid off in the past, so I don't want to chance missing something important, LOL!
I just heard the show, and even though it was a short one, it was still great! Kristyn's a great guest! That sounds really cool about the Scare Factor, I've found the website if anyone's interested, I think the Spooky Crew mentioned posting them on the site!!

I'm so bummed out that the show got pre-empted by the Red Sox!
I've read a few books about dream symbolism and have some education in psychology (my degree is in chemistry, but psychology was one of my science electives) and have read some Jung on my own. I hate Freud, because I just get p!ssed off reading him when he starts going on about women and our "hysteria".
I will have to concentrate more closely on what exactly is going on in my life when I have this particular dream. The pursuit part of it I get - that usually means something in your waking life that's unresolved.
The dream has tons of different scenarios - it's always someone BAD, but the type of bad changes - sometimes it's a serial killer, sometimes it's a vampire, etc., and it's always a stranger - it's never someone I know either in my dream or in real life and it's never the same stranger either.
The weapons involved never change only two - either a wickedly sharp knife or a razor blade - that aspect never changes.
Anyhoo, thanks for your insights, and hopefully I will remember this when they rebook the dream guy and we'll find out!

HI all I love this subject so much too say.. mmecurrie68 have you taken a pregnancy test??? just a thought I had violent dreams of being attacked when I was pregnant.... OK on the recurring dream I had one as a child I was being chased by the sesame street monsters, I would run around the outside of my aunts house in circles over and over while a huge blue sesame street looking monster (No not cookie monster) was chasing me after going around in circles a few times I would fall down a hole and then the mama and baby monster were waiting to eat me. another recurring dream i had as a child this one was almost daily as I would fall into a deep sleep I would dream I was on my swing swinging and my mom would always say to me in real life don't go to high you'll wrap yourself around the swing and fall we had a septic system in the yard it was about 6 feet to the side of my swing set, but in my dreams I would be swinging and go around the bar in circles a few times before falling into the septic system in my dreams it would be under me. I would just fall and fall I would always wake up jumping out of bed or my body would jerk and I'd feel like I was falling too in the pit of my stomach but I always woke up with a jolting felling pain in my chest and then I'd just fall off to sleep. It wasn't until I just started typing this out that I just realized something in both my childhood dreams that would haunt me I was going in circles and would fall in a pit I'll have to look that up in my dream book I never realized this till now. Thanks guys this is a great topic LOVE IT!!!!! Clara

mmecurie68, sometimes reoccuring dreams can have something to do with a past life experience. Could have something to do with what you were involved with or how you died in another life. Might want to think about a past life regression.
