Farmers fear a big cat is on the loose after their livestock have been savaged. John Chislett has lost 28 prize sheep in three weeks on his land at Stoke St Michael, Somerset, and at least three other farmers in the Mendips area have found their animals mutilated. 'This is no dog,' he said. 'They have slashes across them, deep rips in their sides, their guts have been pulled out and their ears ripped off.
