Leprechaun Dipping into the Folklore a little this time, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day this month’s creature is :
The Leprechaun A staple when one talks of Irish folklore, the Leprechaun the word is rooted in the Gaelic language as meaning “Pygmy”. They inhabit Ireland and is said they lived in Ireland before the Celts and is said to be in the fairy family. Leprechauns often are depicted as Old men very small in stature but rarely described as wearing green. The green clothing was added later to signify the “Emerald Isle” flavor of St. Patrick‘s Day. It is believed that the Leprechaun is a very wealthy being and likes to hide their gold in hidden places. If one is so lucky that they catch a Leprechaun, then one may inquire where its gold is hidden . Generally said to be ill-natured for the most part they are relatively harmless, very well spoken they can be a cunning bunch.
