These are a couple taken out of a long recording I did while my friend and I hung out at the Armory last night. Next time I go, I'm going to talk less, LOL, I think I'd get more evp's. There's more possible sounds that could be ghostly, but we were talking so we sort of cut them out a bit. This first one, is near a door that we thought was open from the shadowy looks of it, but later found out was really closed. It's a very spooky spot! The second one I think I got at the big archway door that really gives you a heavy feeling. I'm not the only one either, I took another friend by there a while ago and she felt it too. Last night another friend felt the same heaviness and described it as 'you can almost see the air, it's so heavy." Race car driver did a great job last night, what a partner!! Hope you enjoy, and please let me know what ya think it says, the second one, I think he says a name!!! After listening to these again, I think it's a nickname, and he's referring to me! (The noise right after the name in the second one is my camera! Which is sort of funny, when I went to Fort Taber last week, I couldn't figure out what the noise was. I thought there was a ghostly dog in the tunnel, LOLOL!) Click here to watch 1starmoryClick here to watch 2ndarmory

Race car driver had some trouble hearing this second one. I think I made it a bit too long for her to pick up on what it is. I made this cut of it and looped it to help her hear what is being said. Let me know if it makes it easier for you guys, too! Click here to watch 2ndarmorycutnlooped

I thought I'd add the pictures of the spots these evp's came from. This first picture is a fenced in almost underground level door. It had a very spooky feeling to it, and for a moment, we thought the door was open, EEK!! This is the spot where everyone I bring there, feels the heaviness. Whenever I go to the Armory, I'm very respectful of Sergeant Cuisse, who is the man who hung himself in the Armory during the 1920's. I call him Sergeant, or sir!! Next time I go to the Armory, I'm going to tell him my name, I've never thought to tell him before. I think he appreciates that I come to visit him, and I think he recognizes how deeply sorry I feel that he is stuck in that building. That's why I think he has a nickname for me, and funny, it's one that I've been called before, LOL! I wonder if he knows me by name, if he'll call me by it next time!?? One thing I have to say, jethro and I are yappers, well, ok, especially me, LOL! We hadn't seen each other for quite a while due to our schedules, so we were talking up a storm and catching each other up, LOL! Unfortunately, I do believe we spoke over some other evp's. I'm working on seeing if I can get anything out of them that isn't saturated with our yapping!!! Next time, we promised each other we wouldn't yap so much, LOL!! Hope you've enjoyed you stay with us at the Armory, we had a blast! (Well, other than thinking we were gonna have to whomp on some guy in a truck who drove by twice, LOL!) And here's just a few to show you how spooky this lovely castle is!!

Here, I looped the first one too, I hope it helps make it more understandable. I think I know what both of these say, I'm just waiting to see what others think they say! Click here to watch 1starmorycutnlooped

Well, the ones with you talking in them should not even be considered EVP captures. Maybe you did get something, or maybe it was your voice echoing; who knows. You have to have absolutely quiet, or quiet with some kind of white noise generator in the background. Again comes the topic of professionalism. If you seriously do EVPs, got to do them right to be considered valid; the chattering can wait a few minutes while you record.
The other ones just sound like noises to me, nothing clear. Seems like you have some Class-C captures. We disregard those, especially when it turns out to be a short, soft noise that could have been caused by anything. The microphones can be so sensitive and could pick up the smallest noise that a person does not even know they are making.
Do not mean to burst your bubble here or anything, just making it real.

My bubble isn't bursted, I think of all of this as fun, and experimentation! I have to say that many of my paranormal buddies use this method quite a lot. To use one as an example, our Brit buddy, Unicorn uses this method on her hunts all the time. She lets her dvr run for the entire investigation and listens in later for unexplainable noises. That evp she posted for us is from, I think, an 8 hour recording. I'm not sure if she got any more evp's from that session, but she sure had a lot to listen through!! I only had a 40 minute recording at the Armory and it still took a couple days to go over and listen to. I took the whole recording, put it on the computer, and then split it up into five minute increments.
It was actually fun to listen to afterwards, race car driver and I hadn't seen each other, and touched on so many subjects it was great to hear all that we said later on! The tape also made me realize she and I are a good team, for we share different views very easily with each other, and she's very skeptical, and eager to learn, just as I am eager to learn, though I admit, I'm more of a believer. But then, I have to be, LOL, I did live my life, LOL!
I did learn from this tape, I know many ideas I have just from listening. I also do believe Sergeant Cuisse is very willing to talk. In one of those recordings above, what I think says, "I don't knoooow" is right after I had said, "it is a beautiful building, I know, but why do you stay here, sir?" or something like that. It just seems so fitting. I can't wait for race car driver to come over and hear the original recordings!!
To use another example of this kind of recording, I'll use TAPS as an example. In one of the last episodes, I believe it was the first episode of the season, in Tombstone. They have two investigators talking to each other. In the background, there is some old music, just a few notes, but neither team member hears it. I've also listened to countless recordings made by investigators in just this same way. I admit, I'd love a nice quiet place all alone to speak to this spirit, I'm very fond of him, and feel sorry that he is there, the place reeks of heaviness, and sadness, I can't help but feel that way. Unfortunately, it's against the rules for me to go there alone, so until I have some better way to access the Armory, this is the best I can do.
Yes, being an honest person who wants to bring good evidence, I have to be skeptical of these recordings too. I keep listening to them and trying to find explanations, but the funny thing is, some of the statements fit too closely to what we were talking about. There's also more that I didn't include, where you can hear him breathing, as if in frustration, that we can't hear him. And a side note, I love how my dvr fit in my pocket, it was protected from wind (which there was none that night) and it also fit snugly so it didn't shake, and wasn't in a position to be rubbed by anything. I'll be looking for light summer jackets with a pocket like that now, LOL!!
But as I go on, I'll keep trying different things, I think no matter how long people do this, there's always room for improvement. The one thing that I do love is the fact that all of these message boards I visit, have some great, really professional investigators out there, and I've learned so much from all of them! I'd have to read a thousand books to gain the knowledge I have from all of them, and I thank you all, you included lildeb! I have some great equipment, thanks to CAIPRS, and I plan on putting it all to good use! I feel, in this field, I can't hear or read enough to learn all of the aspects. So I keep taking baby steps, and remember all the good advice, ideas, and practices I've heard being put to good use. I'll keep trying, and every day, I keep learning! I think that's the best, and is my most favorite part, it seems you can never stop learning and trying new things!!
I do admit, next time we go to the Armory, race car driver and I are going to be little church mice, LOL, except when we speak to him! We can talk on the dang phone if we have to, LOL!!
