Does anyone have any idea what kind of animal this is?

Hey Matt, did you find this pic on the web or is it from your own personal roadkill photo collection?
You might not know what it was, but I bet you can tell us what it tastes like! Tomorrow's special at Mill Pond Diner...the lead villain from "Critters!"

Looks a little like a hedgehog, but it's too furry for that.

My first reaction to the picture was that it's some kind of monkey. But after looking at it, the feet are all wrong. Hmmmm. Does bring back memories of the Road Kill Cafe though. Now I'm hungry, is it time for lunch yet??

It is a baboon, most likely from northern Africa area around Egypt to be exact. Most people are more aquainted with the painted baboon.( that one has a multicolor face mainly found in mid to southern Africa ) The pharohs used the type you see in the pic as watch dogs in the temples as they have a very nasty temper. The one here has a home range from Morocco to as far east as Lybia and as far south as the Ivory Coast though I'm not sure, but is a baboon. Hope that clears that up for you. Matt M.

Guess I should not have second-guessed myself on this one . But I still say that the feet don't look right; could be the way the animal is laying. >^o.o^<

Looks like Sonic ran out of rings! My guess would be a Tasmanian Devil.

It looks like only half of the torso - arms, but no lower body, legs and tail. Somebody's biological waste company screwed up, big time. Used to be a really big primate research center/breeding center around the Marlboro MA area in the late 80's. Most of the major research hospitals in the Boston area have animal facilities with large primates (baboons).
