By the time I had my second son, many more people had been witness
to paranormal events in my homes. Mostly it was boyfriends, but even
friends coming to visit started complaining of things happening to them in
my houses. My son's father had a couple of frightening experiences that
he told me of after they had occured. To this day, he remembers this incident vividly and with a visible shiver!!
By this time, my little guy was getting quite a bit of attention
for the way he could speak. You see, he had an older brother who doted on him completely. He showed him all the things he could and told him what they were. So needless to say, by the time he was eight months old, he had quite a vocabulary. His pediatrician was even totally amazed! I found it to be a hinderance! Every time we went shopping, we had a whole train of little old ladies following us around. Everyone wanted to hear the amazing talking baby say his words!! Well, you see, he did it in a boisterous manner, screeching at the top of his lungs!! "Look momma, peas!!!" Everyone wanted to touch him and hear him chatter about
whatever he could see!!
One night I sat watching tv with my son's father. The boys had been asleep for a couple hours by now. We didn't expect to be hearing from either one of them until morning. But low and behold, we heard a baby laughing from his room. Great belly laughs and howls. We looked at each other and said almost at the same time, "Now what is that baby up to?"
We entered the room and to my shock and horror, my baby pointed toward the corner of the room and said in a loud, boisterous baby voice, "Look momma, ghost!" I remember the cold chill that ran down my spine! I immediately went into the corner and was met by a coldness. His father came behind me and also felt it, but then it seemed to move away quickly. We went about the room trying to find the cold spot again, but couldn't.
The two of us returned to the baby's cribside. I asked his father to make the baby a bottle, since I was trying to wean the little bugger from breast milk. (He hated the bottle, typical guy, I guess, rather have the boob any day, LOL!) When he returned, we tried to get him to settle down to sleep. Anyone who's had to put a naughty baby to bed can imagine
what this was like. He refused to lay down and continued to climb up the rails to look at us innocently.
Suddenly, as I looked at my sweet baby's face, something happened! The only way I can describe it is that his eyes suddenly became older and wiser. I remember the way his father and I looked at each other! In a whisper, my baby looked at me and said, "But I just want to have fun!" Then just as suddenly as the change had come over him, it seemed to go! His eyes became baby eyes again, his voice became the same yelling boisterous baby voice that we knew and loved. I remember how angry I
became! At this point, I believed there to be one spirit, and that it was a bad one. Even the night that the spirits battled hadn't been enough to convince me that more than one spirit came to visit me. I remember yelling and being extremely upset!! I told it to get out of my baby!! I told it to leave and never come back! I told it that it had better leave my baby alone!! I remember gathering him up in my arms and holding him protectively against me. That night a baby slept with me, my arms never left the embrace that I held him in.
Now that I know more about the spirits that have been visiting me for years, I realize it couldn't have been the bad spirit. I don't believe that one would have left my baby's body so easily. What I've come
to believe about this particular episode is that the little girl spirit, Sara Brown, was in my son. I have come to believe that there was no harm intended and it was only trying to communicate with me. When
it said it just wanted to have fun, I do believe it was meaning fun, as in playing with and amusing my baby. I think it was probably quite surprised about how angry I was, and didn't understand why. Looking back on it, I don't think I could have reacted in any other way. After all, it was IN my baby, looking at me and talking to me with my baby's body! To this day, when I look back on it and remember the look in my baby's
eyes, I still shiver!!!
