Cape And Islands Paranormal Research Society's ORB CAMPAIGNNo Orbs Join Cape and Islands Paranormal Research Society (CAIPRS) in the Orb campaign! We have been in the field of paranormal investigating for over 7 years and have been dealing with the same issue in photography, Orbs. Do you know what an Orb is? Did you know this phenomenon was never documented until 1965 and even back then it was few photographs of this anomaly? Have you noticed that in recent years, with digital photography, the Orb has come out of hiding and is making itself known? I will not go into what an orb is or isn't, as a paranormal investigator you should already know. If you don't, you should read up on this "phenomenon". These items will let you express what you think of Orbs until it is 99% unexplainable. To get your NO ORB paraphernalia go to www.cafepress.com/noorbs The $0.75 proceed from each item goes to the research and investigations of the orb. Thank you for your support. Just a minor nitpick, but if the idea is "no orbs" and that they are 99 percent explainable, why spend the proceeds on further research and investigation of the orb? There's better stuff to spend research money on, that's for sure...
of course, if everyone joins the anti-orb campaign, it also eliminates the lame old joke of "nice orbs" when you take a photo of a female investigatior. So there's another added benefit...

Nitpicking accepted ;D and understandable. This is just for fun, although not everyone will see it that way, but that's how it goes. If you would like me to remove the thread just let me know - not a problem.

Now, this may be a bit controversal to discuss. I do agree that many orbs are results of dust, pollen, moisture, humidity and so on. But what if an orb is seen as a large white ball? What if the orb is seen moving on video? Paranormal activity is hard enough to explain on it's own, we know so little about the subject. I think it is a little premature to say if orbs are a sign of activity or not.

The way I see it, is if you saw the orb with your eyes then it's a bit more likely to be an orb related to spirit activity. There is a picture a friend took of mine in which she saw the orbs visibly around me in a haunted location (her sister's house) and did get a shot of them. Unfortunately, I know I'll never get the picture from her. I've asked her several times and she can never find it on her computer. Her daughter takes pictures like they're going out of style and she can't find it, ugh. Most "balls of light" whether they be in video or film are not spirit related and have more to do with particles in the air, or a lens too close to the flash mechanism of the camera. But I do still believe in orbs, for I've seen them with my eyes, but that to me is a very hard thing to prove so I never use orbs as evidence of spirit activity.
