Hmm, maybe I could help on that end! I taught for a very long time, and well, the truth is, you don't want to see any of your students put at risk. A good teacher used a good animal, and methods that will keep their students safe!! The best way to be safe is to be educated! I think your daughter is safer learning horsemanship skills and riding than she is to remain ignorant of it! What happens if a horse ran into your yard and she was playing? Would she know what to do? Would she be frightened?? Well, I'm sure it's a rare scenario, but I'd rather know she had some knowledge than for her to be completely in the dark! I can understand your hubby's concerns, but a good instructor will make sure her students are safe, helmets are worn, tried and true school horses are used for students, etc. If you really want her to learn, and you think I can help, I'd be more than happy to speak with him. Maybe you should all come out and visit the farm!! Then your hubby can see for himself it isn't so scary!! AND the farm we go to does disabled lessons too! So if a child who can't walk is safe with the horses, doesn't he think his daughter would be??
If you ever can, let me know, I'd love to show you around!!

Aaaaaw!! Lildeb, you're going to find a horse in your stocking this year for sure!!!
I did have a set of brothers who were two and four. I split them up and we did alot of lunge work so they rode with no hands! The two year old I hand led and we play alot of games when they're that little like Simon Says, LOL! I develop good hands that way, but I don't usually take them that young, their father was cute and he talked me into it lolol!!
I'm glad I went over to Keith's site though. I am safe, dont' worry lildeb!! And I know some things now that I needed to know!! Aaah, it feels so good, I can't begin to explain!! Just know that I feel so much better about it all, and I can accept it now!! And I never need to be afraid again!!
Thanks killgore for your words that made me realize many important things LOL!! I hope I get to see ya come over and visit us here!!

Aneaglesangel, maybe we are not always supposed to put the pieces together and figure things out. Maybe, sometimes, the spirits just want a sounding board, of sorts.
I believe that sometimes, they find someone (a sensitive) and gives us messages just so they won't be forgotten and not so much for us to try and figure out what happened to them and why. >^o.o^<
