Tonight, our very special guests on "Spooky Southcoast" are Ric White and Linda Thornton from Willing Hearts Productions.
Ric is the writer/director/star and Linda is the producer of "The Bell Witch Haunting," the FIRST film to present the Bell Witch Legend on celluloid. It is also the subject of the current theatrical release, "An American Haunting."
However, the new film has come under fire for its portrayal of the Bell family and its presentation of the facts surrounding the only documented case in U.S. history in which a spirit actually killed a person.
We'll get the inside scoop from Ric and Linda about what really went on, but if you want to check out the tale in advance, visit Pat Fitzhugh's definitive site on the Bell Witch.
Have a question or story regarding the Bell Witch or either film? Be sure to call us at (508) 996-0500 or (508) 291-0500, or type it in right here!
Also, Science Advisor Matt Moniz will join us on the phone from Kentucky (just two hours away from Ric and Linda!) where he is investigating the Waverly Hills Sanitorium, as seen on "Ghost Hunters." (If you go to the SciFi.com site right now, you can watch that entire episode online for free!!!) He's armed with some equipment on loan from CAIPRS, and he'll report to us on all his findings next week on "Spooky Southcoast."
In addition, tonight we will premiere the most recent EVP we captured at the Ellis Bolles Cemetery...the story around this one is going to blow your mind! An EVP in surround sound? You'll have to tune it to find out!
So tune in to "Spooky Southcoast," tonight right after the Red Sox game on 1420AM WBSM, on SpookySouthcoast.com starting tomorrow, and as always, as a free podcast download from iTunes.

Wow!! Ric and Linda are awesome! I love that they are trying to preserve the truth of it and portray the family in such an honest manner! I had heard that the movie American Haunting had changed it and put things in that actually hadn't happened. I haven't seen it yet, so I wouldn't know! It is a very interesting case, especially that so many witnessed it!
I feel it's so important to portray the truth about real hauntings and for people to share. Like the caller you had, the people were scared to talk about what had happened to them! I hope that someday, people who are living in fright because of these types of entities can feel comfortable to come forward and get help! I know when I was being attacked by a negative energy feeder, which is a demon, I kept it like a dirty little secret. Others had to be attacked by it and come to me before I realized what was happening was real, and I wasn't crazy! I don't think it should be like that! That's why I work very hard to help people to be able to open up and talk about their experiences!! Someday, I believe it will get better, as long as we have great shows like Spooky Southcoast to spread education and information to the people!!! Great show!!!

Oh that's right, you're in Cali, I forgot! Yes it was an awesome show!!! You'll enjoy it very much! I'm now positive I don't want to waste my money on American Haunting! I don't like that they sensationalized it that way!
Maybe in some cases it's spontaneous psychokinesis, but not always! When the attacks from the negative energy feeder began for me, I was not even close to being pubescent at 8 years old. The attacks continued until I was in my 30's, and happened to other people too, including my two boys. I know that was a demon, thank god it was a lower level than the one from The Bell Witch Haunting!!! That sounds like something extremely powerful! I've heard my name whispered but never heard or saw anything else!! I feel for that poor family, and I wonder, did the demon have a purpose?? Like don't demons do evil things? Maybe John Bell or his daughter had some purpose and by getting rid of them or not letting them marry a certain man, for instance caused something NOT to happen, something good, say?! It disappeared once it had carried out it's business, hmm, seems fishy to me, like it was up to something. And I often wonder, why did the demon pick me? Did it have some kind of motive? Did it want to make me do something, not do something?? They are wicked buggers and I guess noone can know what is in their evil little minds.
I really enjoyed the show tonight! I hope more people like the person who called in tonight can feel more comfortable about talking about their experiences! I found it very surprising that the Bell's told people! Back then you could get burned at the stake if someone so much as thought you had any witchcraft doings!! It must have been a very hard thing to go through back then, like Linda said tonight, they had no lights, no phone to call someone for help! Frightening I'm sure, as it is in our time. I can't wait til next week to hear if Matt got anything in the hospital!! Rock on guys, it was such a great show tonight, I did it again, and didn't call, too busy listening to the show!!! LOL!!

I can't hear them too well on the radio usually, but it sounds pretty clear. They asked it if it was a freemason, then it sounds like a deep man's voice answers, "freemason!" Hmm, I'll have to see if it comes in better on the podcast. It was pretty good, but like I say, not usually as clear on the radio!!

Grunt? That's nothing. Listen to the podcast posted 5/28/06.
The first and second time its played at 5:50 and 6:10.
Immediately after Matt asks "Are you a freemason?" you here a whisper that sounds like "help me". 5:54 and at 6:13.
Listen!
Is that a person in the room or an EVP?
Love the show!!!

Oh, I'll have to listen to it on the podcast, I didn't think it would be any clearer, but it's worth a try! I didn't hear the help me, but when they recorded these, they were outside. They were at the Ellis-Bolles Cemetery on Wolf Island Rd, where I posted the pics of with the caterpillar attack!!! I'm gonna have to jump over and listen to the podcast and see if I can hear it too. We did a video since we don't have an audio person yet, I can't hear anything but me fighting caterpillars, LOL!
