Hi all, This intriguing story has come to light as the UK's National Archives release more of their UFO-related files. The full article's available at the BBC News website: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10853905Churchill ordered UFO cover-up, National Archives show The government took the threat of UFOs so seriously in the 1950s that UK intelligence chiefs met to discuss the issue, newly-released files show. Ministers even went on to commission weekly reports on UFO sightings from a committee of intelligence experts. The papers also include a wartime account claiming prime minister Winston Churchill ordered a UFO sighting be kept secret to prevent "mass panic". The files show reports of UFOs peaked in 1996 - when The X Files was popular. The Joint Intelligence Committee is better known for providing briefings to the government on matters relating to security, defence and foreign affairs. But the latest batch of UFO files released from the Ministry of Defence to the National Archives shows that, in 1957, the committee received reports detailing an average of one UFO sighting a week. The files also include an account of a wartime meeting attended by Winston Churchill in which, it is claimed, the prime minister was so concerned about a reported encounter between a UFO and RAF bombers, that he ordered it be kept secret for at least 50 years to prevent "mass panic". Regards, David.

Our Ministry of Defence (with a 'C' over here ) do seems to be putting out an awful lot of material - supposedly to deal with a whole lot of FOIA requests. Quite what, if anything of substance we'll ever find out remains to be seen..! OK here thanks, you well? How was the Bridgewater Triangle - sounded like you were all having fun?! :-)

Sometimes it makes me wonder, do they release so much information to cover it that way? If you have that much material to go over will it make you miss the important information? Get what I'm saying? Or do you release a whole bunch of nothing and keep the important stuff to yourself? Sometimes the best hiding places are right out in the open.
Glad to hear that you're well! I'm doing all right over here!
The Bridgewater Triangle show was awesome, we did have a great time! I can hardly wait to release the evidence, for we got some surprising stuff! For now I'm keeping the secret, and hoping the Spooky Crew releases it soon, before I pop with the anticipation! Hugs ethel!

Cool - I'm intrigued now! Been catching up on the podcasts - they're like London buses, none for ages and then 3 come along at once. ;D Next one for me (I think) is either the Paranormal Xpeditions ep or the Jeff Belanger one. Glad to hear all's well & that you had a good time in 'The Triangle' - very much looking forward to hearing about what you found. All the best, David.

If I have a hard time making up my mind, I do the "eenie meenie minie moe" thing and that helps me make up my mind. Of course sometimes it does make the wrong decision, but well, sometimes it's the best way to make up your mind, LOL! Have a great week, and let me know how you like those episodes!
