I belong to a group in Central MA and we have permission for an ongoing investigation at a public place that I can not name. We have so many things happen at this site - tons of EVPs (some in foreign languages), VPs, dark and light shadow people, blue mist, and rock throwing (when one certain member from our group goes) and all this w/ wild animals and the elements to deal with. However, in an audio clip, I have a woman's voice saying "Kreznik" (phonetically) and it wasn't one of us. I thought it was someone's name, though was curious as to its origin. When I asked everyone if they were talking about someone named Kreznik, no one could say they even knew anyone with a name of Kreznik. One part-time member went on-line and found some interesting info on "Kreznik". It would appear to go back to folklore within the Croatian and Shaman beliefs. I would never have believed this however, our group finds it interesting because things related to the various folklore seemingly tie into things we are experiencing. Does anyone else have any information/knowledge of "Kreznik/Krznik/Crusnik...? Here is a Wikipedia article there is some more also, but similar to this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krsnik

That's extremely interesting! I unfortunately don't have any more information than you do on this. I was not even aware that Ma had a population of Croatians that had migrated in, to tell the truth. I'd say the library or even the historic society might be able to shed more light on this, or even if you can find a book on Croatian folklore that would probably be helpful too. I'd say whatever spirit you've made contact with believes in this folklore, or perhaps is using it to try to scare your team away from the area. Either way, I do find it interesting, and would love to hear the audio, if it's possible for you to share it! Welcome aboard! I look forward to hearing more about you and your team!
