Hi Tim, I just discovered your show this week and have been listening to old broadcasts. I love it! I have a question for you.... I realize many people who talk openly about believing in ghosts get this reaction a lot, but I was curious how you handle people who out right laugh at you for believing in ghosts. I was talking with someone the other day about this subject and the person openly laughed at me when I mentioned that I had read many times that people who die in violent or sudden unexpected ways can account for some hauntings because they have unfinished business. I'm not sure how to handle such reactions. I find it offensive but try to ignore it...but it still gets to me. Wendy

Hi Wendy! Welcome aboard! Funny, I used to get this reaction a lot more than I do now. I guess that's a sign of the times that people seem to be more open to the paranormal. I'd have to say my own reaction depends on the person and how they are presenting themselves to me. Most times I'm pretty good natured and I'll just stand firm and point out many sides of the paranormal that most aren't aware of. As a matter of fact I have an ongoing debate with a good friend of mine who doesn't believe in the paranormal. One of these days, I will make him a believer, I have yet to let him see and hear some of my evidence. One of these days I'll have to bring my stuff over to the body shop and risk the dust to make him raise his eyebrows, LOL! Then well, there are the times when I can be a bit defensive, I admit it. I try to be good about it and use my ideas of science to defend what I believe in, but it can be very hard when you are faced with close minded people who attack others. I guess maybe that's where I draw the line. You can nay say all you want, I have no problem with that and enjoy a bit of debate, I find that many times I learn from a good debate. But when someone attacks someone because of their beliefs, or because of what they claim to have experienced, that's when I get defensive. No one can really look out of someone else's eyes, or experience what they have. Until you have walked in their shoes, you have no right to ridicule them, and that's when I find I have to come blazing in with the tongue of destiny and start a whipping! LOL! I do try to behave myself most times, but I will always defend someone if they are attacked by non-believers. Other than that, if a non-believer is intelligent and can discuss things in a rational manner, it's fun!! Great to have you with us Wendy! Hope to catch you sometime in the JustinTV chat during the live shows on Saturday nights! We all have a blast over there! www.justin.tv/spookysouthcoast/old
