I was with my son this weekend in Onset Village, fishing and swimming, it was a gorgeous day! I looked up and saw some shiny round objects moving to the sort of North-Northwest. At first I thought they might be those mylar balloons, but realized that at the height they were at, they wouldn't be visible to me. At first there were two, then another joined and then a fourth. They kept moving around in the same spot, near a cloud, then one went faster and disappeared toward the north. I kept thinking to myself that they had to be mylar balloons, but thinking that they couldn't possibly be. My son was also watching and he said to me that they weren't balloons. He pointed and said, look, that one had come back to join the others so that they were four again. I knew that if they were balloons, one couldn't come back to join the others, it would be controlled by the wind direction and would not be able to move independently of the wind, or the other balloons. I stared until they disappeared. Which was a feat in itself, to just up and disappear like that! Yup, I'm still wondering what the heck I saw Sunday afternoon over Onset Village! Balloons? Or something else? Wonder if anyone else saw them?

No, it was not the weekend of the Cape Verdean festival, it was the week after that. I was in Onset Village on both weekends!

Here is a picture for you guys. I know Matt M. and Tim live in the area, so I think this will be familiar to you. If you're looking at that cool yellow building, where I sighted these things would be at your back if you were facing the yellow building. This part of the beach is private, but since my son and my daughter-in-law are such nice kids, and my grandson is such a gorgeous little guy, they have permission to use this beach from one of the residents. I don't care, I suck it right up, what a beautiful place. We don't have to catch fish to be happy over here, though sshhh, don't tell my son that! (I also love this picture, it's not quite the effect I was trying to get, but it still worked out, or so I think.)

I've heard that there have been a ton of sightings in this area lately. I've even seen pictures of a large rectangular craft that was captured in Fall River. This is not what I saw. The ones I saw were small craft. I wonder, are they single occupant vehicles? Or maybe just a small crew inside of them? It's hard to give them an exact size for it was very hard to even tell how far away they were, against the cloud, trying to hide the way they were. I guess I'll never know exactly what I saw that day, but it sure has my son and I wondering!!
