I think it is great that this episode is brining out a lot of talk here. With anything fun there should be talk about it. I hope the next show is more of the same except have a few of us call you guys in an un-edited version of listners calls. I'm happy to see CJ took what I said about listening to the show the right. That is probably why Matt got angry because if someone made an assumption that they would no longer even listen the show going forward based on something they didn't even hear. Everyone is different in how the react to things though so I understand getting upset about it. I don't think people sounded totally drunk or anything, but it sounded like you guys were having a good time and that is what it is all about. I enjoyed this episode the most because it was fun. Now it is a different type of good though. I always thought the best episode was the John Zaffis one because he really has a lot of good things to share, but that is on a sciene level. This is different, it was entertainment more then learning. It's kind of like when we were all in school and you go about learning all this stuff day after day and you get to go on a field trip.

Sniper is Selfexpanitory- read all you posts they have the same things in common you attack and when your called on it you play poor soul. Your a trouble maker, and I defend my family with all I got so if I am a lose cannon I do so when I see someone that is attacking my people or what they have to say. You can disagree with them, thats fine and is what we are here for, but when you do it to be degrading and malicious thats a whole new ballgame. You can fool others but not me, I got your game down. I'm not here to be politically correct, if you want that bull go watch CNN, if you want truth and answers without the spin and hype then you can hang out. As far as the need for drinks to be a REAL person is an example of what I was talking about- you take and misquote and twist whats said and then put in your own poison. I didn't need the drinks to be real, dumb ass I was doing as the way real people do in their everyday life. Next time try to get it right.

It is refreshing to see someone honestly keep it real and not be PC about what they have to say.

Cottonzway, I like the way you put it...................a field trip! Exactly! ;D Listened to the show, and it was fun. And as Willie Wonka said "A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men." As far as everything else that is going on in this thread :-/I am going to sit way over in the corner and read my "Ghost Hunter's Guide Book". Everything seems to be taken care of and my two cents worth is not necessary. >^o.o^<

I'm sorry to all the people that had been put in the middle of this, but I must take the gloves off when I feel that someone is trying to be a disruption on purpose and disrespectful to my family or me. I am a hard ass that pulls no punches and takes no crap from troublemakers( no quarter given here). I grew up in the ruff part of town (my hood had the nick name of wasteland given to it by the police) and am still a thug by nature. I may have the brain like Einstein but the attitude of biker when it comes to those that are looking for a fight. That does not mean you can't disagree with me or others in here, but when your trying to be an idiot and cause trouble then your all mine. If you got something to say about something in here just use your head. I was a bouncer and sound man in a biker bar and I don't like having to be like I just was but sometimes you got to do what you got to do. Please forgive me for my way of handling trouble, I just don't think we need that kind of negativity in here.

Using the term "takes the gloves off" reminds me hockey season is coming. lol
I'm the same way Matt and much of it comes for me from a athletic standpoint and being a competitive person. I'm not shy when I feel the need to speak my mind. I think everyone should be like that.

LOL! Well, I'm glad that's over! I'm a bit more gentle, but I agree, noone should stand for crap!! Enough said on that, let's get back on topic!
I love the way you put that too, cotton! This was like a field trip!!
Lildeb, I'm glad you got to listen to it finally!! I think it was fun, and I STILL haven't gotten to finish the whole darned thing!!

Hmmm...where to begin?
Matt does have a tendency to get a little "board rage," but you have to understand, he believes very strongly not only in what we are trying to do with "Spooky Southcoast," but also who we are as people.
That being said, reign it in, perfesser.
The funny thing is, the drinking (what little of it there actually was) was actually brought up and included as a way of explaining the goofy behavior we knew we'd let loose with without being in the confines of the Spooky Studio. We used it as an excuse to act like buffoons for a change...which, sometimes, is the "real us," at least in terms of Costa and myself.
I think we're getting a little out of control here with the shots (not the alcoholic kind) going back and forth, so let's end that now. As we've always said, we're a family, the "Spooky Southcoast family," so let's move on as such.
Believe me, the next show, and every show after that, will be following the usual format you've come to know and love. This was a one-time thing to get the audience in on exactly what we're all about. Any future "Off the Air" editions will be strictly podcast-only, in addition to a regular show, and totally separate from what actually goes out to air.
What upsets me the most is that the basic subject matter of this and every show we've done is being overshadowed...if I had known this was going to happen, the drinks would've stayed in the house for after the show, or never have been mentioned.
I can't say much more, I'm too upset about this whole situation. The last thing I want to do is lose a listener, any listener, because everyone's important when it comes to finding the truth. I don't ask Clara to forgive Matt, and I don't ask Matt to forgive Clara...that's got nothing to do with me, as far as I'm concerned. Just because it's "my board" doesn't mean I feel the need to interject in every argument on it. However, I do hope that she'll return and listen to the show with fresh ears and see that, in effect, this show is no different than any of the others we've done, just a little more laid-back. The point is WE HAD TO RELAX in order to SHARE OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES. We never would have been so open and honest in the studio....think about it. How much have you heard the Silent Assassin say since the show began back in January? How many stories have you heard from Matt Moniz' childhood? And whenever anyone asks about my experiences, I always take the "the show isn't about me and what I've gone through" approach and deflect the question.
We needed to do something a little different, a little looser, a little more relaxed to get this information out there. This is who we are when we're not in the Spooky Studio. This is who we are if you were to hang out with us, meet us at a CAIPRS meeting or a conference or whatever. When we're in the studio, broadcasting over the airwaves of WBSM, we'll always be the same Spooky Crew we've been since Day One. There's a difference, and we wanted you all to see that, to get a better idea of who we are. We let our guard down, and got bit in the ass.
Alright, I said I couldn't say too much more, yet I did. I'm outta here...

I will reign it in as you wish, but must say Tim listeners like that we don't need. A poison pen can do allot of harm to what we are trying to do. If she made some valuable points on things or even had constructive criticism that would be fine but that was not the case. Just here to drive wedges and sow descent and did a good job of too I may add. Sorry again to those that may have been offended. I'm just trying to look out for all of you. I have seen that type before.

I feel bad reading that Tim because it seems like you guys feel the need to explain yourselves or something when it fact only one person did not like the show and that person didn't even listen to the show. Everyone else has enjoyed it and I personally enjoyed it more then ANY of the other shows even if the other ones were more "educational" because it was real. Production is great, but true reality is better.
Please remember this is one person who admitted she didn't even listen to the show when her original comments were posted. None of you, 3 adult males, need to explain to ANYONE why you guys wanted to hang out and drink a few on a Saturday night. You could have done NOTHING and said "See you in two weeks" but you guys didn't. I feel bad reading this is upsetting anyone because it spawned from one person, not the masses who enjoyed and appreciated you guys sharing your personal experiences. You guys don't have to explain yourselves, or clarify how many beers you had because one person took issue with it and did so before even letting her ears make her opinion for her.
Don't let this bother you guys. It was a great show and it stinks one person didn't see it that way but sadly you can't make everyone happy. The views of one do not represent the views of the masses. We liked it and appreciated it.
