Does anyone know if it's been determined that the hauntings in the Borden house are caused by the actual spirits of Andrew and Abby or are there other spirits that are being seen?

Hmm, I'm not sure if anyone has determined that or not. It sounds as if the owner thinks one of them looked like Mr. Borden if I remember right. I'd say it would take a lot of investigating to come close to identifying who a particular spirit is in a haunting. After such a brutal death, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was her parents. I often wonder about her sister too, it seems she wasn't very happy with Lizzie's choice of lifestyle after the murder trial was over!

I agree, it would take some investigating to figure out who's haunting the house; if in fact it is haunted.
Just because there were murders there doesn't mean that it is haunted. Look at the house in Amityville. There was a big to-do about that place being haunted by all kinds of nasty things; and didn't it finally come out that all of that was just a hoax?
It's so hard to tell sometimes; and saying a place is haunted can bring in a lot of money. >^o.o^<

Funny you say that, I was just thinking it. If you say a place is haunted you can charge people $400 a night to stay in a room. You can attract a lot of business that way, that's for sure! I wonder if she'd let anyone investigate the house?!

Well, they charge $175-$250 for a room, and it IS a bed and breakfast...so it has all the perks that go along with that. They don't guarantee anything paranormal. In fact, the ghosts weren't part of their original intent when buying the property...an added bonus, you could say.
Has the haunting helped business? Sure it has. But I don't slight Lee-Ann for that any more than I'd knock the owners of the Queen Mary, or other "haunted locations."
As for an investigation, Matt Moniz is already trying to put something together with Lee-Ann, so it will probably be Matt M., Matt C., and myself. I'm not sure how open they are to a full-scale investigation with a paranormal group. I know they've done them before (TAPS, for example). It's just a matter of a night when the house is totally empty of guests, and this time of year through Halloween, that isn't often.

Cool! It would be good to hear what you come up with if the investigation ever goes through. >^o.o^<

Yea you'd expect a place like that to be pretty much full 365 days of the year... Its a bit of a pretty famous tourist attraction I'd say in fairness.
It would be interesting to see what you would come up with though. The interview Tim had with the woman in the house was interesting. What she was saying about the Aunt of Mr. Borden killing her children especially.

And, Thrash, I'm assuming you enjoyed the Flotsam and Jetsam we played as well?
We're trying to work more metal in for you!

Oh I hope you don't think I meant Lee-Ann on that last one! There are a lot of places that claim to be haunted and charge more money for things because of it! I was just curious if she'd let anyone investigate the house or not!

Tim- I was listening to the show you did before Halloween on your experiences in the 3rd floor bedroom of the Borden House. When I was in that room on 2/3 investigating, I asked that the bed be moved and it shook for me, too! There had been tractor trailers passing by the house the 15 minutes prior that I was lying on the bed and it didn't move and we asked the girls in the room next to us if they had felt anything & they had not. I also had the "tingly" cold hands just prior to it moving, too. Shortly after that, Ron Milione came in and I had not one leg picked up, but both picked up so they were straight out in front of me. Ron's son had a video camera with him & I think he recorded it, but I'm not 100% sure. When I got up, it took me awhile to get it together because I felt so drained & light-headed. 4 more people got on the bed after me, 2 felt something touch their foot, Ron Milione had his foot picked up a few inches, and the 4th also had his leg picked up as well and experienced the "cold" over him just prior.

Man, I'm going to have to get in there aren't I?? Sounds like it's a pretty active place!! Can you imagine, I've grown up around here and never been inside the house??! Sounds like this spirit has a leg fetish, eh??

Well, the night before Rie had that happen to her, I was challenging the spirit to do more than its "stupid parlor trick," and my right foot was grabbed and yanked violently upward.
So, naturally, Brian Harnois wanted to debunk it--as any good investigator would. Except when he went up there, his legs were lifted, and when we challenged it again, it yanked Wheezy's foot just as it had mine.
Then later, we were in the murder room, and it started slapping and pinching at Ron Milione's son, Justin. Since he's just a kid, I told it to leave him alone and go after me, and next thing you know, "hands" started wrapping around my neck!
Now, I hope everyone here understands that I have no reason to make anything like this up...but it happened nonetheless. And not just to me, but numerous people who were at that investigation. I'm going to talk with Chris Moon tonight, and see if we can try again at his Ghost Hunters University coming up at the Borden house this month.
In fact, that's our show topic for this week--more on the Lizzie case. Lee-ann will be in studio with us, and we'll have a pre-taped interview with Chris. So anyone who's had experiences (or not) in the Borden house, please call in and share!!!

I believe you, Tim, I know you have no reason to make this up and I trust that the people who were with you were professionals and did a good job assessing the situation! I'm just dying to get in there now, I'd like to take look at that activity. I already know from my time in the field spirits definitely wish to interact with me, I'm curious as to what would happen there! Keep us posted on how it goes, unless of course I can be smuggled in in an equipment bag or sum'n??
