I feel compled to apologize to all those who take the subject of abduction by aliens seriously, by not dismantling Ms. Hollis on air. As a scientist it is very hard for me to bite my tongue when I hear things I know for fact are being misrepresented as truth, yet I did so for the sake of the show. Ms Hollis may have good intentions with her " Beliefs ", and those " Beliefs " may work well for her, but to incourage others to adopt them as "fact" with the intent of providing protection for individuals is out right dangerous. I have worked with ALL the worlds best researchers on the topic of abductions and am proud to call a vast number of thier abductees, friends. Over the past 20 years of my looking into this topic I have heard all of these abductees say to me they have tried to repeatedly " invoke " the name of god or Jesus (and by the way, Jesus is just the greek translation of his REAL name in hebrew-Yashewa) when they are being abducted with absolutley zero effect. One very good friend is even a pastor and he would hold a crucifix in each hand while shouting out in the name of christ for them to leave," It never worked" he said. For her to offer such a false hope to these people is cruel and does them a great disservice. Ms. Hollis in my opinion, demonstrates an almost complete and total lack of understanding of religious, world, and subject matter history. This is astounding. How she has been taken seriouly by others is even more perplexing. Ms. Hollis is just another " spacebrother " proponent with her own religious agenda driven drivel that has been said in much better ways by far better people. Her messages channeled to her by a " cuddly and cute pink alien with his pet lizard" are a little hard to take with a straight face. I have been in this field a long time and have heard lots things, most right from the horses mouth, as a good researcher must do, but by far and away this one takes the cake. I hate to belittle someones experences, because it does mean so much to them, but I am dedicatated first and formost to truth. If in some way others can find something helpful in what she has to offer, then I am truly happy for them. I just do not find her brand of thinking as being useful. One could say, that it does a disservice to the subject as a whole, detracting from more reality based approaches. Please note that these are my own opinions and is not to be considered as those of spooky south coast. Matt M.

Of course, in order to discover the truth, we have to hear every side of the story. That's why sometimes "Spooky Southcoast" will have guests who present ideas and beliefs that not everybody will agree with. But that doesn't make what is being presented any less important. As Keith Johnson told us, when it comes to the paranormal, there are no true "experts."
Although I disagree with Matt's premise of Heidi "misrepresenting" the truth and not taking alien abduction "seriously," I can understand his point. A lot of what she said on our program directly clashes with what scientific evidence of aliens and abductions has shown. However, it's important to note that Heidi merely presents this information as what she's learned in her own experiences. This is what she has deduced from the things that have happened to her in her life, and the informative given to her from the alien entity that has chosen to speak with her.
Cardinal rule #1 of "Spooky Southcoast": all theories are worthy of equal time, whether we personally agree or disagree with them.
We're trying to present a show that can discuss the paranormal without an obvious agenda, as so many other shows dealing with the subject matter seem to have boiling under the surface. So even though we respect, admire, and thoroughly believe the research of our good friend and Science Advisor Matt Moniz, we will occassionally present guests and theories that will directly clash with his research, or the research and findings of some of our previous guests and members of the "Spooky Southcoast family."
If Matt, or any of our listeners or guests wants to debate what a certain guest claims....well, then, I think we're doing our job.

I love your show, but that guest was horrible. aliens going thru bookcases !! Come on!! My daughter and I listen every week and we were apalled. She sounded like she was making the stuff up as she went along. She was visted by aliens, shadow people , etc. Anything else she could have possible piled on. What a complete waste of time. I don't blame you guys, i feel that you were more unhappy than I wiht the conversation. I recommend more local people to relate their stories or local authors who write about the supernatural in our area. I am telling everyone to listen on Saturday night to your show. I have converted my best friend already. I would recommend Peter Davenport from the national ufo reporting center as an excellent guess if possible. He doesn't go off on wild tangents, just states the data and relates the newest reports his center recieves. Keep up the good work but PLEASE lose Heidi Hollis's phone number and block her calls!!! I could take another minute. I was going to break my radio!!

That was a tough one to call into, LOL!! I'm not really into the alien scene, though I'm sure there are aliens flying around out there somewhere. It just seems to me a bit immature for aliens, who I'm sure are much more advanced than we are, to jump around on beds and act like a negative energy feeder. The good thing I see that has spawned off of last week's show is that I have quite a debate going on with my two sites about just what shadow people are. I've got to get my lazy arse out the door for work now, but later when I get home I'll try to show you guys my ideas of the possibilities of what "shadow people" might be. I do know one thing for sure!!! I was the victim of a negative energy feeder, not an alien abductee!!! But keep up the good work guys, you did a great job with a tough subject!! Geez, I didn't even know what to say!!! I think I said 'hmm' alot, LMAO!!!

I just recently found out about Spooky Southcoast so I'm going back and downloading the past shows. I just listened to Heidi's show and well...she definitely had some views that seemed to be on the edge. I agree with Tim's perspective in the sense that we should be open to a lot of different views and then we can make up our own minds. For me, I'd like more evidence rather than just someone's own experiences and beliefs. That's why I'm such a fan of Stanton Friedman. He has documented plenty of evidence. Anyway, it's good that this forum exists for debate. Debate is how we process information and grow.
Okay enough of my rambling. I'd better get back to work.

Actually, we're in the process of booking Stanton Freidman for the show. We've been in touch with his representatives, and hopefully we'll get him on sometime before the summer. If you're seriously interested in UFO phenomena, we have some big things planned for this summer on that very subject.

That's great news Tim. I just heard Stanton interviewed on another podcast and think he's amazing. This guy really knows his stuff.
