Awesome! I can't wait to read the story!! What a great show last night! I'm very happy that they want to bring back the helping the community part of this building!!! I think it's great that they want to start a cancer research center! My dad died of cancer so it would mean alot to me to see a haunted spot like that turn into a place that can help save lives!!!
The only thing I wondered about. You guys said children ghosts give you the creeps! Funny but children ghosts pull my heart strings so badly. Usually if I know there's a child ghost in a claim of a haunting, I get emotionally involved. Maybe it's a maternal instinct or something, but it disturbs me greatly to see a child stuck here as a ghost. As a matter of fact, one of the spirits I have is a little blonde girl, I call Sarah. She's been with me for a very long time, and one of my boyfriends actually saw her in my mirror and it really freaked him out. I've asked her many times to try to move on, to go to the light, to find peace. So far it hasn't worked, but it does still bother me that she's attached to me and can't or won't go home. Why do you guys find child ghosts so creepy, I wonder??! I'm sure I'd get much more creeped out at a man sized shadow person than a child sized child spirit, whether it's shadowy or not.
This also brings my argument about shadow people back up. I think there needs to be categories for them. I feel that the term "shadow people" refers to the scary shadowy entities that haunt and scare people. But a shadowy apparition is not necessarily a shadow person. I feel as if the spirits in Waverly may be shadowy apparitions, but it doesn't make them the same as a shadow person. I wonder if others agree with me on this??

Like I have said before, hard to say what Shadow People really are. All the information about them is theory not scientific fact. Could be a spirit, ghost, ET, time traveler, etc. Hard to Say. The term Shadow People covers it all until there is scientific documentation as to what/who they really are. I still see them from time to time, and most of the time for me they are just a nuisance! >^o.o^<

So far I haven't seen anything I'd call a shadowy apparition. The time I saw a small child that was all in white cross my hallway and made me think it was my son, was well all white and out of the corner of the eye, looked like a real child. It was only on checking the bathroom with my ex who also saw the child cross the hall, did I find out it wasn't a living child. The last time I actually saw an apparition, it too seemed lifelike, well except for the fact I was looking almost directly at it and you could see through her, LOL!! I have seen some of the shadowy apparitions that have been caught on film, one of them was a small one TAPS caught on the program that especially reminds me of shadow people. But they are related to hauntings and seem to stay with the buildings they are associated with. The other type of shadow people that seem to follow certain individuals I think are something else and don't stay with a property, but a person. Does that make sense to you lildeb? I think that at least covers two really broad categories of shadow people. I think alot of research should be done on the different types so that we can distinguish which is which. If we can do that, we can figure out how to deal with each. To me a shadowy apparition shadow person who may even be residual in nature is much less dangerous than a shadow person who stays focused on certain individuals with seeming intent and purpose. There's probably a million classifications for shadow people, but I think this seperates two important differences between them.
But then, does that mean all spirits who follow people with intent and purpose are necessarily shadow people?? Once again, seems I opened a whole can of worms with this subject. It's hard not to find more questions within questions in this field, LOL!! But in this case I think alot of spirits who focus on certain individuals and follow them aren't neceassarily harmful in nature. They are not necessarily good either, but I just don't think all of them are shadow people either. Sorry, guess I went on a rant again, LOL! I guess I just want to see more research done and find some answers along with the rest of ya!!
I enjoyed the show alot this weekend! I could hear the evp better this week too! Not sure what you guys did but I couln't hear the evp's you played on any of the shows live on the radio. Great catch but I'm sure I'll hear it even better once you get it posted on here, or has it been already?? I think I'll stay out of Ellis-Bolles until after the caterpillars have metamorphasized!!!!

From what I have read and personally experienced, Shadow beings don't come across to me as a kind of haunting. They are there to feed off your fear or negativeness; kind of like they come to do a job, get it done, and leave. So I don't see that they would just be hanging around. That is, of course, unless you think of them as watchers or ETs or time travelers, or something else like that. You know, something like 'Men in Black', they exist in the shadows and watch. ;D
Even the term SHADOW seems to be generic with a lot of people. If it's dark and you don't know what it is, call it a shadow being. I guess some people would rather label everything they come across that sort of fits the shadow criteria, a shadow creature, than to just say they don't know what it is. Well that's my take on it anyway. >^o.o^<

Yeah I hear ya there! That's why I think there are alot of misconceptions about these things. I can't imagine them hanging around and haunting a place either, and I've never even seen one. From descriptions they seem to be their own type of creature and seem to follow people. Most say they think their intent is maliscious in nature. So I think I'm pretty glad I've never seen one. I have to agree with ya totally though, I think people do just call them shadow people for lack of a better term! I think ghosts are ghosts and shadow people are something different from what we'd call a ghost. To me a ghost is a person that was once alive and the spirit is still here. I'd use the term loosely to describe both aware hauntings and residual, but again, that's a pretty broad term, too! I think it was a show these guys did one night that they mentioned a website is trying to get paranormal definitions to make a site like wikipedia but only dealing with the paranormal. It will be interesting to see how they label these beings!! I wonder if Matt and Tim have a link for the site, I can't remember the name of it?!

From the experience I have had with Shadows, I'd call it malicious; playfully malicious at times. You know, anything to get a scare out of you. Definitions of all things paranormal? I sure wouldn't want that task. Sounds simple enough, but I bet it would be a great undertaking. Especially if you got people disagreeing as to what a specific definition would be on something. would be interesting to see though. >^o.o^<

If I remember right, they wanted people to send in what they thought certain entities were. I think it must be one heck of an undertaking! I've seen myself how many do not agree about things paranormal! Just opening up the topic of shadow people was amazing at how many different ideas people have about what they are! I wonder if they've finished the site or if it's still under construction? I'd like to see just for kicks and giggles what they have as a defintion of a shadow person!

Yeah I would too. Considering it's all theory and noone knows for sure, would be impossible to have a 100% accurate description. >^o.o^<

LOL! I hope Matt or Tim sees this so they can leave us a link to the site. That way we can both see what they define shadow people are!
